London’s essential festival All Points East is proud to announce a huge new addition to its free community-based programme, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council. The globally renowned DJ Pete Tong comes to headline The East Stage on Sunday 17 August, for a celebration of modern and classic anthems. Tong will be joined by DJ Yoda presents 50 years of Hip Hop, The Cuban Brothers, Kengo and The Tamashii Drummers.
There are few individuals in the world of dance music who can claim the kind of influence Pete Tong has had over the last twenty years. As the voice of Radio 1’s prestigious dance programming, Pete has held a commanding presence over the industry for more than two decades. With an unparalleled ear for new talent, Tong has become the leading tastemaker of the electronic generation.

DJ Yoda joins the line-up with his acclaimed audio-visual spectacular, DJ Yoda presents 50 years of Hip Hop. This groundbreaking show continues the celebration of the genre’s rich history and evolution, tracing its journey over the past five decades. Returning with an updated and expanded performance, DJ Yoda will showcase the vast cultural impact and musical milestones of hip hop, from its roots in the Bronx to its global dominance today. Audiences can expect an electrifying fusion of classic beats, cutting-edge visuals, and his signature turntablism, all expertly woven into a powerful narrative. Through innovative visuals and meticulous storytelling, DJ Yoda brings to life the defining moments and movements that have shaped one of the most influential music genres in history.
They’re joined by the jaw-dropping B-Boy Action and riotous comedy from The Cuban Brothers Live. From sold-out tours, festival spots and support slots for rock royalty to crazy club nights, film roles and fashion shows, The Cuban Brothers’ unparalleled act is ingrained in pop culture. Two decades since their inception, Miguel and his suspect sidekicks are renowned all over the world for their party-starting skills, risqué sketches, B-Boy moves and funk-fuelled music. Everywhere from the Far East to South America, from Brisbane to Bahrain, from the Gumball rally to the F1 circuit has fallen for the Hawaiian suit-sporting crew and their outrageous, X-rated antics.
Kengo, a DJ and producer based in London, will be bringing his international repertoire of eclectic sounds and far-reaching genres to Victoria Park. Ranging from house to world music, he’s seamlessly put together shows, tours and residencies over the last 20 years. The Tamashii Drummers share the energy and spirit of Japanese Taiko Drumming with audiences around the world. Their performances fuse traditional and contemporary styles – including the vibrant Fukui style – with disciplined rhythm, expressive solos, and dynamic choreography. Spotlight is a creative Youth Space based in East London offering a variety of FREE and exciting creative programmes and sessions for young people aged 11-19 (and up to 25 with SEND). Enjoy Live performances ranging from local emerging artists in Music, Dance and DJ’ing!
Sunday 17 August marks an all-day free All Points East event, for the community to enjoy – Including free activities such as live theatre shows from Half Moon Presents, the UK’s leading small-scale young people’s venue and touring company, another great local success story. Based in Whitechapel, they give young people from birth to 18 (25 for young people with disabilities) an opportunity to experience the best in young people’s theatre, both as a participant and as an audience member.
Elsewhere, Free fitness sessions are available from Tower Hamlets-based Be Well. Meanwhile, children can learn from the best at Limehouse Boxing Academy, a community-led boxing club based in Tower Hamlets. At All Points East, they will be running free sessions of fun, non-contact boxing activities, empowering children to learn new skills, build confidence, and get active in a supportive setting.
And, if you’re looking to exercise your creativity, Rich Mix, your friendly neighbourhood arts centre, will be showcasing the freshest local talent from rappers, singers and DJs — as well as having a kids disco, doing a book swap and performances by local young people.
For kids and families eager to learn more about community building, the Sunny Jar Eco Hub will be teaching kids and teens how to upcycle all sorts of scrap paper into beautiful beads to create their own eco-friendly jewellery. This fun, free activity is for everyone, spreading the message of environmentalism and awareness to younger generations.
This year’s All Points East also includes headliners Cleo Sol (Friday 15 August), Chase and Status (Saturday 16 August), Barry Can’t Swim (Friday 22 August), RAYE (Saturday 23 August), and The Maccabees (Sunday 24 August).
