The series, which includes Junction 2 Festival and Paradise In The City, has partnered with food traders to offer a delicious mix of vegetarian and vegan food only, as it continues its NetZero by 2025 strategy and drive towards carbon-positive events.
BM Park Live has announced that the 2025 editions of its summer festival series will be 100% vegetarian and vegan. The series includes Junction 2 Festival and Paradise In The City, and takes place in London’s Boston Manor Park. BM Park Live has worked closely with Event Merch, a food trader management company, to develop new menus that ensure a diverse and delicious selection of 100% plant-based and vegetarian (including dairy) food options across its festival roster.
In its broader drive towards carbon-positive events (events that remove more carbon from the atmosphere than they generate), BM Park Live has implemented a NetZero by 2025 strategy. This means a reduction in carbon emissions and involved a phased approach, over three years, culminating in fully vegetarian and vegan menus in 2025 (crew catering went 100% vegan in 2024). BM Park Live has achieved targets that would typically take most organisations at least ten years to implement, underlining the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability.
The move to 100% vegetarian and vegan menus sees BM Park Live join a small number of forward-thinking names in the live music industry, including Massive Attack and Shambala Festival in the UK, and techno festivals, DGTL Amsterdam and Awakenings in the Netherlands.
BM Park Live Director, Will Harold, explained, “The move to a 100% vegetarian menu is part of our broader sustainability efforts and commitment to reducing carbon emissions, which also include initiatives focused on energy and travel. Having seen the food options that our wonderful group of traders are going to provide, I can confidently say that these will be the tastiest festivals we’ve ever worked on!”
The food offerings at Junction 2 and Paradise In The City aim to deliver a variety of fresh and healthy options, such as hearty paella and poke bowls, through to popular fast foods like pizza, hot dogs, and chick’n burgers. With protein-rich flavours from around the world, there will be something for everyone – a mouthwatering way for all festivalgoers to contribute to a sustainable festival.
