July 14, 2025 at 9:46 amSo, so disappointed. Have been to Boogietown for the last 3 years when it was in September and spread over 2 days. Vibe was fabulous, organisation was great. Plenty of food trucks, limited number of people allowed in VIP. Served within reasonable times at VIP bar. So this year, my friend and I decided to take our kids and our partners to show them how great it was. What a shambles. They reduced it to one day, moved the month and tried to squeeze too many people into the venue. They oversold VIP so not enough room to move around. The bar set up was disorganised and very slow. We were waiting at least 20 minutes for a drink and this was in VIP. They had reduced the number of food trucks so we had to queue for one hour to get any food, thereby missing the start of the acts we had paid to see. The toilets, again, in VIP were blocked and there were less of them despite there being more people. The final nail in the coffin was trying to leave. We booked a taxi way in advance to collect us at 10. The road was closed by the police who did not inform security so we waited 45 mins at the venue as they would not let us leave. In the end we just pushed past and walked 10 mins to get to our cab. We were lucky, our cab waited but for anybody getting an Uber.. they had no chance. The set up for pick up and collection was diabolical. I am sorry to say, it was so badly organised in comparison to previous years you have lost two loyal customers. It seems greed overtook the actual organisation of the event. The acts we did manage to see because we weren’t queuing for something were great, as always but I shall be looking to attend one of the other events now as this one has been totally struck off my list. Shame on you for ruining a previously spectacular event.
