Don’t go! Can’t believe the news that Car Fest is leaving the beautiful Laverstoke Park
Farm, in Hampshire (closer to most of our main associates) to Silverstone.
Well Silverstone is home to the British Grand Prix so fair enough, a sufficiently clear link.
We are all seriously mourning this move – but confident that this popular Festival will err
accelerate from strength to strength.
We arrived ready to enjoy all that Car Fest always offers, from the brilliant rides (less my
thing) to the historic village area – an unexpected touch of old traditional charm called
Retrofest. There’s an enticing list of Fests to view – Spafest; Foodfest; Kidsfest; as well as
Music at Fest and Car at Fest.
We had trouble this time – deciding what to see as the amazing comic line up clashed with
some of our must hears at the Music Fest. A fabulous afternoon spent around the main
Stage with first a new one for us – Groovetrain. Loved it what a funky lively jazzy energy.
what a voice – the female singer really made me sit down and just listen. Then it was Rick
Parfitt Jnr who got all the people up and dancing and singing as far as the food stands where
we were sat digging in at this point. Seriously gave everyone so much energy – it was sheer
fun!
Soon after that it was Kim Wilde who got us back to the main stage once again with some
timeless classics that had a huge crowd waiting for her. There were so many others,
including Rita Ora and that was just on the Saturday.
Welcome back Carfest in 2026 – wherever you are!
