CCME 2025 Madrid – Day 1 (Review)

J Balvin’s headline performance was not just a concert, but a full-fledged show. He was accompanied by a DJ who kept the audience’s energy at its peak, and a team of dancers who complemented each song with precise and powerful choreography. The combination of music, lights, visual effects, and movement turned his performance into a true audiovisual spectacle.

He started the performance with his song “Swat”, and his setlist included hits such as “Azul” “Loco” “La canción” “Que Calor,” “Ginza“, and “In Da gheto”, among nay others. Throughout his most recent songs, J Balvin maintained constant interaction with the fans, approaching them, smiling, and expressing his gratitude. His closeness to the audience reaffirms his status as one of the most charismatic and beloved Latin artists in the world.

One of the most anticipated moments of the set was the appearance of Puerto Rican singer Lenny Tavárez as a special guest. Together, they performed “Zum Zum” one of their collaborative hits, follow by his hit “Hola” which further elevated the audience’s excitement and reinforced the connection between the artists and the attendees. A standout moment occurred when a woman was brought on stage to sit in a chair while Lenny performed his signature sensual dance moves around her. Viva Suecia: Indie Rock with Social Commitment

The Murcian band Viva Suecia delivered a performance full of emotion and social commitment. During their set, vocalist Rafa Val took the opportunity to speak out in support of migrants “fleeing horror,” sending a message of solidarity in a context of high political tension. The group performed iconic songs such as Bien por ti, A dónde ir, and El Bien, while the audience enthusiastically sang along. They also announced the release of their new album Hecho en Tiempos de Paz, scheduled for October 10, 2025, and a special concert on October 17, 2026, at Espacio Norte Murcia, which they consider “the most important of their lives.”

Trueno: Argentine Rap with Strength and Passion

Argentine rapper Trueno took the stage with boundless energy, delivering a show full of power and passion. He performed songs like Mamichula and Dance Crip, quickly connecting with the audience and proving why he is one of the most prominent artists in the Latin American urban music scene. His performance was one of the most acclaimed of the day, consolidating his position as a leading figure in Spanish-language rap.

The production lived up to expectations, with an impressive main stage, giant screens, and a high-quality sound system that allowed everyone present to enjoy the performances, no matter their location within the venue.
