First Headliner Announced for Hampton Court Palace Festival 2026

Hampton Court Palace Festival will return next June, filling the palace grounds with another spectacular run of summer concerts in one of the UK’s most beautiful settings.

The first headliner has just been revealed – and it’s a big one. David Gray will take to the stage on Wednesday 10th June, marking the opening night of the 2026 series. Tickets are on sale now, with more exciting names to follow soon.

Having been at the heart of British music for getting on for 30 years, David Gray became a household name with his album White Ladder, one of the biggest records in the country that includes songs which have stood the test of time (Babylon, This Year’s Love, Sail Away) and was not only a moment, but continue to inspire and excite new generations time and time again each year.

Therefore, Gray has recorded a number of much lauded records since, such as A New Day at Midnight, Life in Slow Motion, and, recently, Dear Life as well as playing songs that have influenced musicians and fans. Gray’s gigs are revered for their raw unencumbered emotion and genuine songwriting – he is one of the country’s most prolific and loved singer-songwriters.

In 2026, Gray’s first gig will be set against the stunning backdrop of Hampton Court Palace – a place that will forge unforgettable memories for both the audience and performer – a fitting way to kick off the summer season as part of the festival.
