Full 2025 Lineup Announced for Solstice at Wasing

Wasing Estate is thrilled to announce its full line up for Solstice at Wasing 2025, now reimagined as a weekend festival hosted at the stunning venue, The Woodland at Wasing.

Taking place from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd June 2025, the festival celebrates the Rite of Summer and will feature Alex Serra, Âpe Chimba, The Egg, Afrosideral, Tritha and many more. This year’s Saturday night fireside headliner is Âpe Chimba and the Sunday headliner is Alex Serra. For full line up, visit wasing.co.uk/solstice

They join previously announced world-renowned artists James Blake (Solo Piano), Anoushka Shankar, Salif Keita, Nubiyan Twist, K.O.G. and The Turbans. Together, they complete a rich and diverse weekend programme of music, nature and connection at one of the UK’s most beautiful outdoor venues.

Barcelona-born AlexSerra brings his astonishing, deeply atmospheric music to The Woodland, shaped by extensive travels across Latin America and South Africa. Blending down tempo, soul, reggae and dub, Serra’s immersive live sets offer audiences a transformative experience combining music, dance and visual art.

Âpe Chimba who will be performing at the Saturday night Fireside Sessions is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and ceremonial artist whose music bridges ancient and contemporary worlds. Drawing on tribal, folk and sacred traditions, his performances combine traditional instruments, chant and modern production to create immersive sound journeys rooted in ritual.

Festival favourites The Egg make their debut at Solstice with their infectious brand of rocktronic, funk and house-inspired big textural dance music. Famed for legendary six-hour improvised sets and often dubbed The Grateful Dead of rave music, The Egg’s live performances are unforgettable, blending electronic and live instrumentation with samples, video triggers and vocoded vocals.

Cuban rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist Afrosideral (Kumar Sublevao-Beat) adds his distinctive sound, moving dynamically between hip-hop, jazz, world music and electronica, all rooted in Afro-Cuban rhythms. His mystical, versatile performances seamlessly journey from downtempo to dance floor without losing authenticity.

Completing the new additions is Tritha, a golden voice of global fusion, who draws upon three decades of training in Indian classical music. A music activist and teacher of sound healing and voice therapy, Tritha has evolved her practice into boundary-pushing contemporary works, merging Indian classical with psychedelic rock and electronic collaborations. Her performance promises a rich tapestry of tradition and modernity, celebrating the healing power of sound.

Saturday headliner James Blake is a critically acclaimed GRAMMY®, Ivor Novello and Mercury Prize Award-winning UK singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His performance will be an ‘intimate piano show’, perfectly complementing the beauty and peace of Solstice at Wasing. Whilst, Friday headliner Anoushka Shankar is the Boundary-pushing sitar virtuoso, blending traditional Indian classical, jazz, world and electronica into her work, producing a unique sound that transcends genres.

Plus, Solstice at Wasing is just one hour from London, making it the perfect getaway destination to embrace nature during the summer solstice, which takes place on the same day everywhere on the planet, connecting everyone in a truly global moment.

The Fireside Sessions on the Friday night will be headlined by globally acclaimed artist Anoushka Shankar, and sparks the solstice celebration’s shift from day to night with special performances around the fire. For those seeking a free-spirited experience, The Fireside Sessions take place by the Sacred Glade fire, giving a moment to connect with nature under the stars. The following morning a guided Sunrise Ceremony will take place at dawn to welcome the new sun.
