Big news for festival fans: Muse are officially headlining Mad Cool Festival 2025 in Madrid, stepping in last-minute after Kings of Leon were forced to cancel their European and UK tour.
The change comes after frontman Caleb Followill underwent emergency surgery, leaving fans disappointed — but they won’t be left without a show. Instead, they’ll get to see one of the UK’s most electrifying live bands take over the Thursday night slot.
A One-Off Spanish Date for Muse
If you’ve never seen Muse live, this might just be your chance. The trio — Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard — are known for their epic stage presence, soaring vocals, and jaw-dropping visuals. They last played Mad Cool in 2022, and they’re back for what will be their only show in Spain next year.
Expect a huge night at Iberdrola Music in Villaverde on 10th July, kicking off the festival with a bang.
Thursday’s Looking Huge: Muse, Iggy Pop, and Weezer
Muse will be joining a stacked Thursday line-up that already includes Iggy Pop and Weezer — a dream combination of raw punk energy, quirky alt-rock, and arena-sized anthems.
Whether you’re there for the nostalgia, the spectacle, or to discover something new, Thursday’s shaping up to be one of the highlights of the weekend.
