Shaggy to Headline Kubix Festival 2025
The biggest summer music festival in the North East is back, and it’s set to be more thrilling than ever! Kubix Festival 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Herrington Country Park in Sunderland, showcasing an amazing lineup of artists, with the legendary reggae star Shaggy headlining the event.
Shaggy is back up North East
A global superstar with over 40 million records sold, and countless hits including “It Wasn’t Me”, “Angel”, and “Oh Carolina”, Shaggy is known for his high energy live shows that have been performed all over the world. He has not performed North East since 2023 and fans are eager to see him perform again.
Festival Director Alex Hutchinson said: “Shaggy is a real legend, and we are so excited to have him headline this year’s Kubix Festival, something we’ve dreamt up for years. His shows bring such pure joy and we can’t wait for him to light up Herrington Country Park.”
A Line-Up That Takes You Back
Shaggy is joined by a veritable who’s who of beloved names from the 90s and 00s pop and dance scenes. This year’s festival offers three stages brimming with feel-good nostalgia and club anthems:
- Blue: The boyband sensation known for “All Rise” and “One Love”.
- Another Level: Getting back together to do hits including “Freak Me.”
- Gareth Gates: The Pop Idol winner whose “Anyone of Us” had the world swooning
- Liberty X: Best known for their smash hit “Just a Little”.
- Louise: The Eternal legend became solo star with songs like “Naked“
- Blazin’ Squad: Bringing the vibes with classics like “Crossroads”.
- Darren Styles and Basshunter: Blasting headliners of the Big Top Dance Arena bringing the heat with their signature bass-heavy bangers and club classics.
Line-up is still to be confirmed, with more acts to be announced soon, Kubix 2025 is on course to be its biggest ever.
