Charli XCX joins LIDO Festival lineup with her curated ‘Party Girl’

Avant-pop superstar Charli XCX is set to curate her own festival, Party Girl, as part of the newly launched LIDO Festival in Victoria Park, London. The event will take place on Saturday, 14 June 2025, featuring a handpicked line-up of cutting-edge artists, including Brat collaborators 070 Shake, A. G. Cook, Bladee, Kelly Lee Owens, The Dare, and The Japanese House, with more acts yet to be announced. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, 29 November.

The Party Girl event marks Charli XCX as the second headliner confirmed for LIDO, following the announcement of Jamie xx, who will perform on Saturday, 7 June. The two-weekend festival, named after Victoria Park’s historic Lido Field, will combine artist-curated musical line-ups with midweek community-driven activities focusing on sustainability.

Charli XCX, known for her trailblazing approach to pop and electronic music, continues to shape the cultural landscape with her innovative projects. Her sixth studio album, Brat, released in June, has been hailed as the most critically acclaimed album of the year. After securing the top spot on the UK Official Album Chart in October, the Brat campaign has created a global stir, featuring viral pop-up DJ sets, high-profile collaborations, and bold visual statements.

Charli recently headlined a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena and is now poised to take the stage at her largest UK show yet with LIDO 2025, her first UK festival as a headliner.

The festival’s line-up reflects Charli XCX’s eclectic tastes and collaborations:

  • 070 Shake: While yet to collaborate with Charli, the New Jersey rapper recently released her album Petrichor and gained acclaim for her work on RAYE’s hit single Escapism.
  • A. G. Cook: A close collaborator of Charli’s and a producer behind numerous Brat tracks, A. G. Cook released his album Britpop in 2024, featuring Charli XCX, Addison Rae, and Caroline Polachek.
  • Bladee: The Stockholm rapper, who collaborated with Charli on Rewind, had a prolific 2024, dropping two albums, Psykos and Cold Visions, praised for their surreal, boundary-pushing soundscapes.
  • Kelly Lee Owens: The Welsh electronic artist’s latest album, Dreamstate, received critical acclaim for its emotionally charged ambient techno beats.
  • The Dare: Known for producing Guess from Brat, The Dare’s debut album What’s Wrong With New York? has been described as a raw, electro-disco triumph.
  • The Japanese House: Another Brat collaborator, featured on Apple, The Japanese House is celebrated for her genre-defying music, including recent releases with Fred Again and a new album in development.

LIDO Festival promises more headliners, full line-ups, and further announcements in the coming months. The event aims to spotlight contemporary music’s biggest names while fostering community engagement and environmental awareness.
