Elderflower Fields Festival 2025 – Let the Adventure Begin!

On 23–26 May 2025, Elderflower Fields returns to the beautiful Ashdown Forest for our award-winning family festival! Known as a celebration of creativity, adventure, and nature, this well-loved event provides a magical weekend created to inspire children and adults alike.

Set in the central Sussex countryside, the festival helps young minds thrive with experiences in performance, sport and nature, art, science and outdoor fun. Activities are designed to spark curiosity, imagination and connection with the natural world.

Festivalgoers will be able to move and groove at the spirited Moonshine Fandango, check out imaginative and physical play opportunities in Leapfrog Lawns or trek through the Urban Woods, an area created with the intent to inspire children to take a measured risk taking in a safe, adventurous environment. With a mission to be inclusive and family friendly, Elderflower Fields is widely recognized as the ideal first festival for families, giving parents the opportunity to unwind while, for children, running wild in nature can be an adventure.

The festival is intergenerational, with grandparents and parents bringing little explorers. Over the years, some children who went there back in their day have reappeared as performers or back-stage helpers, or booth organisers in creative activities. It truly is a family affair.

Set for 2025, the theme is “Carnival of Critters vs. Jungle Jukebox,” which is said to immerse people in a “deadly serious” celebration of “nature’s innermost creativity.” There’s also summer camp highlights like critter-themed chores, jungle rhythm, supervised sports programs and arts camps as well as the family dance-off — a perennial favorite. Attendees are asked to dress up and embrace adventure and play.

In line with its focus on sustainability, Elderflower Fields remains committed to making it an increasingly environmentally friendly event. From upcycled art installations and locally sourced food and drink to sustainable event designs and efforts to reduce travel emissions, the festival also seeks to promote a greener future.

Families can join us at Ashdown Forest for a weekend of discovery, connection and lifelong memories over 23–26 May 2025. Visit www.elderflowerfields.co.uk for ticket information and more.
