Boasting over 120 international metal acts spread across four stages, Bloodstock Open Air (BOA) emerges as the quintessential heavy metal gathering. Since its inception, Bloodstock Open Air has prided itself on being "by the fans, for the fans," earning a prestigious place among the UK’s top rock music festivals. Over the years, it has hosted towering figures from the music industry, including Devin Townsend, Sabaton, and Nightwish.

Originally an indoor affair, Bloodstock Open Air transitioned to an outdoor setting in 2005, finding its permanent residence at the Catton Hall Estate. This move marked a significant expansion, allowing the festival to accommodate its growing stage count and burgeoning attendance, which now sees crowds of 20,000 per day.
