Held over three days on the first weekend of July, Love Supreme offers a world-class lineup of jazz, R&B, funk, soul, and more. Set in the stunning grounds of Glynde Place in the iconic South Downs of East Sussex, this festival takes place in one of the UK's most beautiful national parks.
Widely regarded as a highlight of the summer festival calendar by both artists and audiences, Love Supreme attracts global superstars, jazz legends, and the best new artists from around the world, all performing in a unique and picturesque location.
Love Supreme was the first full-weekend camping jazz festival in the UK but also welcomes day and weekend visitors. The festival is conveniently located approximately 20 minutes from Brighton and just over an hour from central London by train or car. Glynde village has a train station a few minutes' walk from the site.
Since its inaugural festival in July 2013, Love Supreme has hosted a dazzling array of artists from the worlds of jazz, soul, and R&B, including Lauryn Hill, Herbie Hancock, Earth Wind & Fire, George Benson, Nile Rodgers, Chick Corea, Van Morrison, Grace Jones, Gladys Knight, Jamie Cullum, Hugh Masekela, Michael Kiwanuka, Steve Winwood, George Clinton, Pharoah Sanders, Gregory Porter, Laura Mvula, Lianne La Havas, Louie Vega, Bryan Ferry, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Tom Misch, Esperanza Spalding, Melody Gardot, Brad Mehldau, Chaka Khan, Branford Marsalis, Robert Glasper, Snarky Puppy, and many others.
The festival is also known for supporting emerging artists. Gogo Penguin, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings, Rag'N'Bone Man, Mahalia, Celeste, Ezra Collective, Jordan Rakei, Moses Boyd, Jacob Collier, and Kamaal Williams have all performed early in their careers and have gone on to great success.
The 2024 edition delivered big surprises with a stellar lineup that included Terence Trent D'Arby (AKA Sananda Maitreya), who performed his first UK show in 20 years and his only UK show of 2024. Other headliners included Chaka Khan, Olivia Dean, Dionne Warwick, Jordan Rakei, Mahalia, Black Pumas, Noname, Joss Stone, Kool & The Gang, Sérgio Mendes, Hiromi, Billy Cobham's Time Machine, Galliano, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Meshell Ndegeocello, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Dhafer Youssef, Christian McBride, Alice Russell, The War and Treaty, Balimaya Project, Josh Milan, Johnathan Blake, Fergus McCreadie, Joel Culpepper, Jacqui Dankworth, Amie Blu, Andrew McCormack featuring Kyle Eastwood, and James Brandon.
