Headlining the main stage was none other than the legendary André 3000 from Outkast, who treated the audience to a rare live performance from his flute-infused album, ‘New Blue Sun.’ Alongside him, Mercury Prize winner Sampha transported listeners with tracks from his latest masterpiece, 'Lahai.'
Poetry enthusiasts were enthralled by the wordsmithing of award-winning poet Kae Tempest, while R&B/Soul sensation Dee Dee Bridgewater ignited the crowd with her soulful rendition of ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain.’
Adding to the star-studded lineup was Grammy-winning American rapper Black Thought, renowned for his lyrical prowess. They joined a roster that included the likes of Loose Ends, Brian Jackson, and India’s vocal powerhouse Asha Puthli, ensuring an unforgettable weekend of performances.
Also gracing the stage was Grammy-winner Corinne Bailey Rae, famous for her hit single ‘Put Your Records On.’
Founder Gilles Peterson expressed his excitement for the eclectic lineup, emphasizing the festival's mission to unite music lovers from all backgrounds.
True to its ethos, the festival celebrated both established genre pioneers and emerging talent, a testament to Peterson’s four decades of dedication to diverse musical styles.
Renowned house music producer Louie Vega showcased his latest project ‘The Elements of Life,’ while UK rap and grime MC CASIDEAD brought his synth-heavy album ‘Famous Last Words’ to life.
Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat maestro Ebo Taylor kept the crowd grooving with infectious rhythms, alongside Mercury Prize nominee Floating Points and electronic duo Mount Kimbie, who delivered electrifying sets blending live instrumentation with electronic beats.
