Olivia Rodrigo to headline BST Hyde Park 2025
BST Hyde Park has unveiled its latest headliner for the 2025 season, with 3X GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo set to light up the festival’s iconic Great Oak Stage on Friday, 27 June. This will be Rodrigo’s biggest UK show to date, marking an exciting milestone in her career. Special guests for the event will include The Last Dinner Party and girl in red, with even more artists to be announced soon. Tickets will go on general sale at 9 am GMT on Friday, 15 November.
Less than four years since she emerged to widespread acclaim with her debut single, “drivers license,” Rodrigo has solidified her place among the world’s top recording artists, achieving over 3.8 billion streams and releasing several chart-topping hits. Following “drivers license,” her singles “good 4 u” and “vampire” also soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Rodrigo the youngest artist to debut three No.1 singles in the chart’s history.
In 2023, Rodrigo released her Grammy-nominated second album, GUTS, following her 4x platinum debut album, SOUR (2021). Co-produced with Daniel Nigro, GUTS debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and topped album charts in over 13 countries, including the UK. The album has received widespread acclaim for its raw and relatable storytelling, with The Guardian calling Rodrigo a “sincere songwriter who captures the viewpoint of a teen outsider to perfection,” and Rolling Stone describing GUTS as “an instant classic.”
The GUTS World Tour has since captivated fans and critics alike, with Rodrigo’s four-night residency at London’s O2 Arena hailed as a major highlight of her live performances. NME described the tour as “quite possibly 2024’s most fun tour,” while Rolling Stone praised Rodrigo’s “generation-defining” impact. Variety further celebrated the tour’s energy, saying, “It’s a rock ‘n’ roll show, by the way — maybe the best rock tour we’ll get all year.”
Rodrigo’s headline slot at BST Hyde Park will take her live show to the next level, solidifying her reputation as a must-see artist. Supporting her are two talented special guests: The Last Dinner Party and girl in red. BRIT Rising Star and BBC Sound of 2024 winners, The Last Dinner Party quickly gained attention with their debut single, “Nothing Matters,” followed by their album, Prelude to Ecstasy, which reached No.1 in the UK Charts in early 2024. Joining them is Norwegian indie pop sensation girl in red, often hailed as a queer icon. Known for tracks like “we fell in love in october” and “bad idea,” her latest album, I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!, released in April 2024, has further cemented her role as a trailblazer in indie music.
BST Hyde Park’s 2024 edition featured a stellar mix of talent, from SZA and Kings of Leon to Stevie Nicks and Kylie Minogue, across three unforgettable weekends. For 2025, Rodrigo will join an impressive lineup of previously announced headliners, including Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Zach Bryan, Hugh Jackman, and Noah Kahan, with more announcements on the way for what promises to be another outstanding festival.
