The Charlatans to Headline DocksFest in Cleethorpes

DocksFest, the biggest live music festival to hit North East Lincolnshire is excited to announce The Charlatans as its first main stage headliner for 2025 The festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at the Meridian Showground in Cleethorpes.

Since they first broke big in 1990, The Charlatans has been one of the U.K.’s most coveted and resilient bands. Starting from their roots in indie rock, their sound has grown to incorporate psychedelic, soul, funk, and even country rock influences.

The band has an astonishing back-catalogue including three UK #1 albums — Some Friendly, The Charlatans, Tellin’ Stories — and seven Top 10 records. Expect classic anthems like The Only One I Know, One to Another, North Country Boy and How High.

The band has continued to thrive, even in the face of tragedy when keyboardist Rob Collins died in 1996 and drummer Jon Brookes in 2013. Now, Tim Burgess (vocals), Martin Blunt (bass), Mark Collins (guitar) and Tony Rogers (keys) still put on an electrifying live show, from the likes of Glastonbury and Reading to O2 Academy Brixton.

2025 lineup already looks like an exciting feast of talent. Other acts on the line-up are the indie rock-lite mainstays Ash and Maxïmo Park, emerging talents Corella and Coach Party. Also, local talent will step up to the plate, with EVER and Last of the Wonder Kids appearing on the DocksFest stage to represent Cleethorpes.

Be sure to circle this day on your calendars: it’s going to be an insane day of live music!
