The Come Together Festival is set to become the North East’s largest outdoor music event, with the first phase of its exciting lineup unveiled. Robbie Williams will headline the festival, which promises a stellar series of performances from 4th to 8th June 2024 at Newcastle’s iconic Town Moor, the historic site of the Hoppings Funfair.
Designed to attract music enthusiasts of all kinds, the Come Together Festival lineup spans rock, pop, and indie favourites. The event is committed to inclusivity, offering a range of ticket prices to ensure that everyone can experience the magic of world-class music within a vibrant festival atmosphere.
Robbie Williams will take centre stage on Wednesday, 4th June, marking his return to Newcastle after a decade. Fans will recall his sell-out 2014 performance at the then Metro Radio Arena, and this headline slot promises to be another unforgettable night.
Joining Robbie will be indie-rock icons Kaiser Chiefs, along with Perrie Edwards of Little Mix fame and rising Newcastle star Andrew Cushin. The full lineup also includes acclaimed acts such as Lottery Winners, Nell Mescal, and Guy Sebastian, with support from emerging talents Deco, Sonny Tennet, Charlie Floyd, and Harriet Rose.
The festival experience extends far beyond the stage. Attendees can enjoy local food vendors, immersive art installations, and activities celebrating Newcastle’s culture and community. With a daily capacity of 45,000, the Town Moor will transform into a lively hub of music, art, and local pride.
Toby Leighton-Pope, Managing Director of TEG Europe, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We are absolutely thrilled to announce Robbie Williams as our first headliner for the Come Together Festival. Bringing such an iconic artist to Newcastle underscores our commitment to delivering a world-class festival experience that’s accessible and unforgettable.”
A spokesperson for the Freemen of Newcastle echoed this sentiment:
“Securing global superstar Robbie Williams to headline is huge for the North East, putting our region firmly on the international music map. This event will not only entertain but provide a significant cultural and economic boost.”
Robbie Williams’ career spans over three decades, from his rise to fame with Take That to becoming one of the best-selling solo artists of all time. With over 85 million albums sold worldwide, countless awards, and iconic hits like Angels and Rock DJ, Williams remains a household name.
In recent years, he’s ventured into film, with his Netflix documentary series Robbie Williams (2023) offering a raw and introspective look at his life. His upcoming biopic Better Man, directed by Michael Gracey, adds another layer to his illustrious career.
The festival is organised by TEG Europe, a leading promoter of live events. With an impressive roster including Noel Gallagher, Michael Bublé, and Snoop Dogg, the company delivers over 2,000 concerts annually, from intimate shows to large-scale tours.
